hallucinations paralysis and fear

Posted by braveheart on January 03, 2003 at 09:12:59:

In recent months I have started to fall to sleep, wake with a start, fall to sleep, feel as if I am being attacked, accompanied by a "noise" in my ears / head. I try to move but am unable to do so. I feel myself screaming. I eventually wake with raised heartbeat and sweats. My partner assures me that apart from some minor "twitches" I have not moved or made a noise. last night this happened continuously, resulting in no unbroken sleep all night. I am fit, healthy, take regular exercise and have a clean bill of health. It's scaring me and driving me crazy. Can anyone help or give advice. I'm dreading going to bed tonight
