I must make a correction to my post of a few minutes ago. In the last couple of paragraphs I used the word quinidine instead of quinine.
I should have used quinine.
Quinidine is like quinine but has molecular differences that alter its drug effects and side effects. The form prescribed (or sold over the counter) is quninine sulfate.
