Having suffered with RLS all my life, I was happy to stumble upon the relief pain-relievers give. I was having a root canal and was given hydrocodone. Works like a charm. Now I take Oxycodone just one every other night and I take Ultram (which is supposedly NOT a narcotic) on the alternate nights. Can you believe I actually feel guilty getting a good night's sleep? I try to take "drug holidays" (going without taking any pain meds at bedtime) and TRY is the operative word here. I can plan on being awake until about 4 am. I can either take a prescription pain-killer or not sleep at all. That's my choice in life.
