This seems a little strange, but I recently took cough medications containing Hydrocodone for an extended period. About two weeks ago, I stopped taking the medication and immediately had problems with what appears to be RLS. I had such problems when I was a child, but have not experienced them since then (some 30 years or so). If I take the cough medication with Hydrocodone, I don't have the problem. If I don't take it, I'm awake all night. Symtoms include the "crawlies" other people here have described, a general acheing in my legs that gets quite severe, and numbness in my toes and feet.
