Posted by Cindy on August 07, 1999 at 20:07:26:I have been rubbing my feet and legs ever since I can remember. When I start to get tried my right foot starts, sometimes both legs if I try to go to bed when I have stress. My boyfriend used to call it the cricket. I have found that exercise does help for me. I have found the best method, is to not fight it, if I have to do it really bad, I look at the clock and say ok, I am going to rub my legs against the sheets for 15 min and stop, flip on my back and feel the tingle, feel my body relax ( a technique I picked up from my college prof - talking about meditation). On a really bad night I may do this twice. I have found it is wrose if I am overtired, stressed out or hyper, looking forward to the next days activity. I have also found that if I am hyper or stressed, get up and write down why, and then try and sleep again.
Tell me if this writing helps anyone.
WOW - I thought I was a freak!
