Posted by SPOTTS on August 11, 1999 at 08:22:40:I have had RLS all my life. The first I remember is when I was small and would take naps & my mom and/or dad would come in & rub my legs so I would settle down & sleep. All my life everyone thought it was in my head (even my family MD). However, 8 years ago I was sitting in on a sleep seminar with my wife (she is a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) and one presentation mentioned this sensation that had a name RLS. I was floored. The remedies mentioned the standard prescriptions but the presenter went on to share on over-the counter fix, vitamin E. Since then I have taken 400 I.U.s every morning. The frequencies of my RLS episodes are down to maybe one every other month versus 3-4 per week as before. Has anyone else had luck with E?
By the way I am NOT a vitamin salesman…………
