You may have two conditions that are related but not everyone has both. RLS is a condition that strikes mostly when you are trying to sleep or sleeping. This is what the Mirapex is for. You are taking .375 mg before bedtime? I take .50 mg before bedtime and have the permission to increase my dose to.625 mg if I feel the need. Mirapex is a great drug for many people. Maybe you should talk to your Dr. about increasing your dose. I have good results from .50 mg, but if I need to increase I will.
You may also have a second condition call PLMS. I think it stands for Periodic Leg Movement Syndrome. This condition strikes mostly during waking hours. This would be when you can't sit still, always need to move or Jiggle. Fortunatly I do not have this, but I have spoken to others who do. This condition is treatable, as is RLS. It is a matter of finding the correct drug, the correct dosage, and deciding if you want to use the medication. The last part about wanting to use med., I say this because there are many meds. that you can't use if you want to get pregnant. Make sure you know which one's are safe to use if you are trying to have a baby (if you ever go in that direction). Someday I want to have kids, and I know I will be completely drug free for 3 months before we even try to get preg.
Have you had a sleep study completed? Was there a lot of leg movement? Did you have both the night time and day time studies done? The two studies together can give some good information.
Hang in there, the first step is learning what you have and then what your options are.
