Magnesuim (and Vitamin E?) - Worked for me!

Posted by Patrick on August 30, 1999 at 00:08:49:

As many of you, I've had this (RLS) since I was a kid (40 now!). About 4 years ago a Pharmacist told me to try a Magnesium Suppliment. I started to take 250mg about an hour before bed. I think it took a few days... perhaps a week to kick in - and then... SLEEP! It was a miracle cure for me! Now I just take it now and then as I have a few bad nights. Others have reported Vitamin E works for them. I've been having a few rough nights lately... I might try them both for a while. It's gotta be better than drugs! ...and for me, Magnesium DID work when I took it on a regular basis before bed. I'm not a doctor. All I know is that when I found relief 4 years ago, I thought I had a religious experience! ...80% relief was better than 100% sleeplessness! I feel deeply for all those who have posted their sleepless nights and frustration. I hope what I've written helps someone. I've taken my Magnesium and Vitamin E and I'm off to bed...
