Posted by BETH on June 28, 2000 at 15:42:15:I DON'T KNOW IF i HAVE RLS OR NOT. I don't have the "crawling, etc. sensation" that I see talked about. I do twitch my legs as I'm going to sleep. It's a fast bouncing of my ankle/foot, usually the foot that hangs off the side of the bed. I have an awful time sitting still. I believe it's common to "bounce" your leg if crossed and maybe sitting on a chair, but I seem to do it all the time. It's an every night thing, and it anoyes my husband to no end. he thinks I do it on purpose and will jiggle the bed to show me how annoying it is. (It doesn't bother me). I always thought it was just my way of falling asleep and thought I found it comforting (kind of like being rocked). Now that it's been brought to my attention, I realized that it's totally involuntary and I do it even when I'm asleep.
Is this RLS or am I just a nervous person?
