IN OCT. I HAD SURGERY ON MY BACK (DBL LAMINICTOMY),SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD 'SUVERE' LEG SPAMS, I HAVE HAD INJECTIONS-WHICH ONLY WORSTENED THE PROBLEM. MY SURGENT HAS REFERED ME TO A PAIN TREATMENT CLINIC AS HE WAS 'STUMPED', NOW THE PAIN CLINIC HAS REFERED ME TO UCLA-THEY HAVE PUT ME ON SO MANY MEDICATIONS MY BODY IS IN SHOCK, (CLONAZEPAM:which makes me sleepy all the time,BACLOFEN:which had no affect(my leg still contuined to JUMP & KICK),ULTRAM:made no differents at all, & NEURONTIN: I took this for 2months and still my leg contuines to 'twitch and jump', I injured myself in April of 1999 and I have been 'suffering' with this 'condition' since that time-I am so frustrated with this my life quality is nil, as before this I was very active and know if I try and do any type of activiy I end up in bed with severe pain in both my back and legs-my legs kick so bad I actually kick my husband out of bed, if I lay on my back my leg twitichs and kicks until I change positions , I've been to the ER 4 times because of the severity of this condition. I am now getting depressed and my doctor has now put me on PAXIL ( you must realize I have never had a problem with depression-I have always been very melo and calm with situations, and handled whatever has been thrown at me throughout my life, this has since changed I'm moody , weepy, and mad quite a bit of the time for no apparent reason. You don't realize how it feels to have a doctor say we don't know whats wrong. I need answers or a 'cure',my CT scan has shown no problem in my thorasic or clavical (please excuse the spelling) The doctors keep saying I need another MRI, but have yet to order it?! I'm hoping someone somewhere can either help me or at least offer some suggestion. I feel like a guinnie pig and I extreamly upset with this, if my doctors don't know what the problem is why can't they just send me to someone who does?! Before my injury I never even took some much as an asprin and now I have to take so much medication it's redicules, PLEAS REPLY AS SOON AS POSSIABLE!!!!
