Hi! I am on the adkins diet (low carbs) and you are correct. I asked my doctor if it was ok to eat low carbs with RLS and she said "by all means" for the same reason (metabolizing) doing this has also lowered my blood pressure and also my cholesterol... I am also taking 400mg of vitamin E and a pill for parkinsons (which is supposed to help the RLS) called Requip. I am so glad to hear that the low carbs is helping you also. All of these things have helped me so much and I feel so much more active during the day now that I have been getting my R.E.M. sleep, my only problem is that I am so used to staying up late it has become a habbit hard to break, but no biggy, at least now I have more control (BIG SMILE) :o)
