Sinemet and Nuerotin... new to the board

Posted by jokatie on July 13, 2000 at 12:09:09:

Hi!

I have just found this board today and finally feel like there are others out there that understand. Like so many posts here, I am pretty certain that I have had RLS since childhood and had always been told it was growing pains as well! It actually surprised me to see someone else post that too.

I finally went to a nuerologist last fall and realized that it was in fact a true disorder. I was so afraid that he would think I was insane! He has been great and first prescribed Nuerotin. I was on that 2-3 per night and now am at 5-6 with little relief. Today he prescribed Sinemet and I have read some pretty scarey things on this board. I am not really sure what "augmentation" means. Is there anyone that has had success with Sinemet?
