I was wondering if earlier on, before being diagnosed if anyone can look back and recognize strange symtoms?

Ever since I was young I have always jiggled my legs (while relaxing, watching TV etc.)by resting my foot on the ball and bouncing. It annoys everyone but it is a unconscience habit and usually I am totally unaware of it.

Also, when I am laying down watching TV I rub my feet together. When I lay down to go to sleep I do the same thing. This annoys my boyfriend due to the noise or movement of the bed.

This is worse in the morning hours when I am drifting in and out of sleep. Now in the morning instead of rubbing my feet together I rub them on the sheet and I have noticed that now I am not just moving my foot. Now I move my whole leg from the knee back and forth.

I do not know why I do this other than it feels good. I don't really associate it with pain or a creepy feeling. Although maybe that is why I do it so I don't feel the creepy feeling. Like I said...it is not a conscience habit.

I have had bouts of insomnia but I do not think it is related. Any advice?
