Posted by Pault on August 14, 2001 at 18:00:45:I am 34 and was taking 5-6 Ultram per day for Chronic Pandreatitis. My condition improcved to the point I wanted off the Pain killer Ultram...WOW severe withdrawal for 3 days then permanent SEVERE RLS.
The only thing that seems to help is going back to Ultram (which I DO NOT want to do) or 2 vicodin 2 hours before bedtime...though this only [artially works. Without meds I do not sleep more than 1 to 2 hours a night...and the waking moments are not enjoyable (pacing, can't concentrate, feel like I am going crazy, etc.)I just got my doctor to prescribe Mirapex. The first evening I tried .125mg and it had no effect so I took another .375 but even that did not seam to have any effect. Now I am depressed as this was goign to the the wonder drug to allow me to sleep and it failed me.
Questions:
1) Has anyone else experienced RLS as a result of goin off Ultram? If so how long did it last?
2) Mirapex - How do you take it (all at night? spread out throughout the day?) and at what dosage is it effective? Please help!
