I think the very best thing one can do is to find a doctor who is able to get past the dosing of pain med syndrome. It is amazing how they will allow u to suffer needlessly in order to avoid dependence of a med. If a med is prescribed for a good cause then ITS NEEDED and the least of ones worries should be addiction. If u r in pain and discomfort every night then that is MORE unhealthy than an addition. What is the problem with addiction to a med that is necessary to relieve pain and misery, this addiction is totally different from the addiction for reasons of pleasure....just my opinion but certainly think that many, most docs need to stop and rethink this.....Cathy
