Posted by Wiped Out on September 24, 2001 at 20:28:08:It has been a long time since I was here and I have not seen a message that has the same symptoms as mine so here goes. I was diagnosed with RLS a few years ago but in the last year or so have been noticing some unusual symptoms for RLS. Not only do my legs jerk constantly at night but the muscle in them tighten up to the point where they can be seen through my skin. Also I have been having a tremor in my lips that is now progressing into my face and the end of my tongue is numb. Not only that but my speech has become VERY slurred with some letters, most especially S's and TH's. I have a burning sensation in both forearms daily on top of them also jerking. My handwriting has changed immensely and I know that some of these are associated with Parkinsons. I have an appointment with my neurologist next month but I thought maybe someone out there could point in a direction I had not discovered. I really appreciate all responses and hope you all get the sleep we all deserve.
