Posted by Former sufferer on November 14, 2001 at 02:34:15:I am a 72 year old woman with a long history of RLS from which my mother also suffered. A few years ago my dermatologist in Italy where I live prescribed a pill for me to alleviate rosacea. The stupendous side effect was to greatly aid my RLS. I was told to take half a pill (20 mg of a 40 mg pill) in the afternoon if the rosacea was bad. When I get a period of RLS I take this medicine for only a few days and then without it for a long period my RLS disappears. It is called Sufrexal (ketanserina) produced by a company called Janssen-Cilag.
