Is this PLMS???

Posted by tm on August 04, 2002 at 02:01:56:

My husband has had this problem for at least 3 years or so and I was searching the net and found this site. Anyhow, he wakes up really sore (not every morning just every now and then, but lately it has been more frequent) to the point that he can barely walk, tie his shoes, or drive his vehicle (shifting gears ) because his arms and legs are so sore. I just happened to have a hard time sleeping the other night and noticed that he was jerking (like spasms or something) in his sleep. I thought something was wrong with him and I nudged him...he woke up not knowing what was going on. I found this site and I believe this is PLMS with the jerking and all, but nobody has mentioned anything about sore muscles. We have been trying to figure this out for a long time now, and he says he wakes up feeling as if he had been lifting weights and working out in his sleep. If any of this sounds familiar to anybody please let me know. Thanks
