Initial dose for Mirapex

My husband is newly diagnosed and started rx for RLS and PLMD yesterday. His doc prescribed 0.5mg of Mirapex at bedtime.. this seems like a high dose to start out with. Has anyone else been started at this dose? What is the usual dosages people have started with? Thank you.:)
