Posted by becky51 on September 21, 2002 at 11:04:33:I'm not sure if I have Restless Legs Syndrome or not. It seems I can’t go to sleep at night because I have to keep moving my legs. They don’t hurt or tingle, they just feel like they need to be moved every few minutes. I will finally settle down and go to sleep eventually.
I know that my legs sometimes move during the night because I had a sleep test and the technician noted leg movement. I don’t have any conscious awareness of it though.
I don’t think I’ve ever actually kicked my husband but I think it's because my leg movements aren't very severe, more like a jerking motion. Every once and awhile when I'm in bed and falling asleep, at the moment when I'm almost asleep, one of my legs would jerk and that would wake up me. I only notice this very occasionally and I never feel any other weird tingling or sensations in my legs.
I haven't been sleeping well lately. I finally go to sleep and then wake up about 20 minutes later for no reason that I can find. Sometimes I can go back to sleep, sometimes not. I wake up again in another couple of hours. This is happening several times EVERY night. So I end up getting about 6-8 hours of sleep, but not feeling refreshed in the morning. I am tired all day every day lately. I can't figure out why this is happening to me.
