Posted by Lookin4aCure on September 26, 2002 at 21:23:40:I lost 2/3s of my vision in my right eye, in just 3 days, earlier this month (called AION). I have had PLM and RLS for 3 or 4 years, OSA apnea too. When I looked into the causes of the sudden partial blindness, a drop in night time blood pressure from a combination of medication and things that go 'kick in the night' seems the most likely cause. I want to kick the illness thing and sell all the drugs back to the Pharmacy.
My DAILY medications are: 1500mg Neurontin, 10 mg Ambien, .75 mg Permax, 450 mg Wellbutrin, 150mg Lithobid, 300mg Lamictal, 80mg Adderall, Vasotec 5mg, 150mg Indocin, now 1,000mg Metromin, Paravachol and 20 mg Prozac as a chaser. Some Drs are surprised I can walk. The depression is what seems most devastating, "treatment resisent" depression they call it now (296.33)
The more I have read on this site and elsewhere it seems that lots of other things cause or compound the depression.
The depression may just be a symptom resulting from all the rest.I wonder if it just depends on what is the specialty of your first or favorite dr.
