Mike, I'm no doctor but have had RLS all my life. I'm on Requip, Neurotin, and Lortab 7.5. The Lortab is the only med that stops the pain. You might want to go to other RLS Forums and read up on this one also. I have found rls.org to be quite helpful. It is like a discussion group too. This disease is not that unknown any more and there are things that can be done to help control it. By the way, why is your doctor asking the pharmacist what to do about RLS? If he/she doesn't know anything about it...he can read up on it or ask another dr(maybe a neuro). Don't give up looking for relief before you go to surgury. That really scares me..((Hugs))and good luck...
