Firstly, the symptons only manifest themselves when I am going through a bout of depression ( I find I do less exercise in these periods). I also have found myself in a relationship which is not a particularly loving one. (Maybe my bodymind is telling me to walk away from it). Some remedies I have found useful include: lying on my back with my legs up at a 45 degree angle with the soles of my feet flat against the wall for fifteen minutes or so to be helpful. Secondly my Chiropractor has suggested RLS it is a muscle spasm, and with him working on various points on my calves, I have found some relief for a few nights. Also lying in bed with my feet elevated initially feels uncomfortable and can bring on the symptoms of RLS, they do eventually go and I can get a good nights sleep. Lastly, by massaging one's calves before retiring to bed can also help in avoiding a RLS bout during one's sleep. I hope this post can be of help to some of you............
