Toothache and waves of cloudy pain in the calves and thigh muscles, and even the buttocks, ( sometimes feeling as though its in the very bone )is how I would describe my symtoms...and the doctors still look at you with a blank stare !
I have had this for a number of years now and I first described it as "growing pains".

I get it in both legs, I can get it first thing on a morning as I stand in the shower and by the time I am clothed and have made a cup of tea I am needing to sit down to try to take some of the pressure off and relax.

Some days are worse than others ( I dont know why ).
Shopping with my wife is an olympic event, and I am guaranteed pain within a short time and so my sport is to find the chair or place to sit as soon as I enter the shop.

Sometimes I can get what can only be described as a shooting pain ( like an electric shock ) if I bend down and tense the calf muscle ( I think it feels hot too ).

Describing how it feels is VERY frustrating as it is sooo difficult to do.

After reading many of the posts here I class myself as lucky as on an evening I dont seem to have a problem sleeping, and my wife says that I dont kick or shake my legs etc in bed.

In the daytime I can often punch or squeeze and massage my legs to see if it helps ( which it never seems to do...but I do it anyway !? )

I dont know if this is RLS as no doctor has ever mentioned it to me.
