...have you considered Mirapex? It is in the same class of drugs as Requip (dopamine agonists.) My personal experience and most of the information I read suggests that Mirapex is superior to Requip in terms of side effects and efficacy.

Requip was just first to get FDA approval for RLS and has a much stronger advertising presence, so less knowledgeable doctors try it first.
