That is completely insane! There is no way that rotating every week will improve safety. It takes the human body three weeks minimum to adjust behaviour, not 12 hours. We rotate every two weeks and that wears thin. I'd say it's a fairly blatant attempt to do one of two things, either get rid of the older workers, or shut down the plant. My sympathies to you. As far as tricks to helping you sleep the best advice I can give is if at all possible get sleep, at least two hours at a time, any time you can. Anything less than two hours and I find myself more tired than rested.
