I'm sitting here this morning putting my John Hancok on checks to pay my bills and I feel proud as a peacok that I've managed to keep a balance.

That nonsense aside you might want to check my posting just above about a recent study. All of us shiftworkers know that what the study shows is true. In the TOXIC SHIFTS postings the proposed amendment to the Fair Labor Practices Act just recognizes the facts that we know are true. The amendment applies economic pressures to keep shiftwork within some sensible guidlines and rewards workers with accelerated benefits. Right now shiftwork is completely unregulated and companies are swinging shifts like a broad axe.
