Yes, a lot of us have had these problems.

The fitful sleep is awful... although I personally have found it livable, but then I work slightly different hours...

The weight gain... yech! but trust me, you're not the only one!

Eating habits... there is no need to consider breakfast foods to be only for breakfast, etc. in other words, eat whatever type of food you want when you want...

Sleeping... do you sleep before you go in to work?
(Hint: hook up a radio or a "boom box" to an appliance timer, across the room to wake you up in time), even 3 hours before going in, with an extra hour between waking and going to work is good for me, might work for you...

So, basically, you are the TYPICAL shiftworker...
