a funny thing happened...

Posted by name changed to protect the innocent on June 20, 2000 at 20:23:21:

There was a meeting called for our department one afternoon.
The agenda was largely "fluff"(not much that was overly relevant to the shiftworkers). Only 33% of the shiftworkers in our department showed up, and they were the ones who were working that day. Most were sleeping, or refused to come in on their day off. It was not an organized boycott, but it sure seemed that way! :-)

This forced management to call a meeting solely for the shiftworkers, which would deal solely with the shiftworkers' issues and concerns... (much more relevant!)

Has anyone experienced this kind of situation before?

anon.
