And I used to think that a union might improve conditions. Well, look at the bright side, you previously indicated that you have some seniority, so at least you may be able to get a straight shift during the week. I know, it's not what you signed on for, but it sounds a lot better than the previous malarkey they presented. But I wouldn't get too comfortable, it sounds as if your union isn't exactly, well, it sounds as if perhaps the right hand knows not what the left is doing. The depressing part is that we are increasingly becoming a 24 hr. society. Pre-electric light humans average 10 hrs. sleep per night. Now the average is somewhere around 6.5-7.5. I got all of 3 hrs. of sleep today and 5 the day before that and, well, you get the picture. Are we all victims of one of the greatest inventions of all time?
