Must restore schedule for new job

Posted by Dark Knight on July 05, 2000 at 07:01:37:

Hello all,

I've been freelancing on my own schedule for a year. During that time I slowly switched my sleep cycle from going to sleep at midnight, to 2, then 4 and then when I hit 6 a few days in a row, something happened and now I can't sleep at night at all. I usually go a bit further until mid morning and then crash.

I should say that when I do fall asleep, it's 8 hours straight, consistently afterwhich I have enough energy, so I don't think this is a health issue. If I don't get those 8 hours I take short naps during the day. I believe that this is similar to a jet lag, and I only need to reset my cycle.

The problem is, I am interviewing for full time jobs that are about to start very soon, and I have to go back to a normal schedule ASAP. I can't struggle with it for more than a few days.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
