You bet you they don't lean on you at work for missing a night here and there. Those slots are hard as hell to keep filled. Night clerking at a convenience store is dangerous, tiring, and screws up your life. That is especially true if you don't have regular days off. Sorry, nights off.

Part of your problem is probably trying to revert to day-time living on your days-off (oops). Your body and mind can't adjust that quickly and as a result your sleep becomes totally screwed up.

Above the gates of hell it is written "Leave All Hope Behind All Ye Who Enter" Above your work place should be inscribed "Leave Day-Time Living Behind All Ye Who Work The Mid-Night Shift."
