Unfortunately there is no way to train your body to need less sleep. The latest research is showing that your sleep requirement is probably genetically determined. The vast majority of people require 8 to 8.5 hours per night. There are a lucky few "Short sleepers" that can get by with less. There are many stories of people living on only a few hours sleep per day. I suspect that most of these are urban legend type of stories. You can often get by with less for some short period of time but your sleep debt will start to affect you quickly. You may not even feel "Sleepy" often the symptoms are "fatigue" , lack of motivation, being easily frustrated, anger, depression, loss of enjoyment in life etc.

Get your zzzzzz's and do one job well. You will be better off than doing two in mediocrity. Don't forget to enjoy life too!
