Posted by cindy on March 18, 2002 at 06:29:16:I've been doing the rotating 3 shift a day for the past 5 months, I hate doing grave shift (23:00-7:00). I am working for the online casino and I only get paid like US$9/hour for whatever shift I do, no matter whether it's day shift(7:00-15:00), swing shift(15:00-23:00) or grave shift(23:00-7:00).
I just wondering if Grave shift suppose to get more money because we doing odd hours. I starting hate my job now, I don't mind doing Day or Swing shift but not Grave. I was working full time before and they put me 12 days grave and then just 6 days day shift and grave shift again for 10 days, that's why I choose to go back to casual, after complete calculation I realize that casual get paid more than full time.
I just wondering if anyone out there happy with their rotating shift work?, also I need to know whether I/we suppose to get paid more for doing grave shift?
I am a shift worker, and I understand that it is very hard for you to work when you assign to work from grave shift with one day off and the next day you start doing day shift.
