headaches day sleep

Posted by Sleepwizard on May 19, 2002 at 05:49:11:

Day sleeping can at times not be restful. If you have a headache upon rising its time to consult your family Doctor.
Sleep disorders such as Apnea can result in a headache at rising. The oxygen level in your blood drops while sleeping due to obstruction in your throat. this can cause nasty headaches.
If you are sleeping more than 8 hours after indulging in coffee to stay awake...this could be a caffiene headache.
meaning it will go away once you start the coffee or soft drinks again.
Day sleeping should be a restful time for everyone that has to do this, You may have to forward your phone to a relative or trusted friend. Have a neighbor to greet any callers that head toward your door. A little note on your door saying "Day Sleeper" should keep most people away.
When sleeping during the day allow sometime for sunlight. Even if it means having someone open the drapes after you fall asleep.
Reserve your bedroom as a sleep chamber only. Do not read in bed or have a desk where you can work in your bedroom.
Take hot baths or drink a light hot tea before bed.
hope these tips will help.
Have a nice day and get some sleep.
