FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE HELP US FIGHT OUT BOSS

We are currently on a 12hr schedule, 4 on 4 off and all the staff love it. 2 years ago we were on an 8hr schedule, 7 on, 3 off, 7 on 4 off and we hated it because we had fewer days off to spend with our families. I have heard through the grapevine that the Director of Corrections is thinking about putting us back on the 8hr schedule because he thinks it will save money. We want to be prepared incase this happens so we are compiling a list of the pros for 12hr shifts and the cons for 8hr shifts which we will submit to the Director if he changes the schedule. Please help us by making some suggestions for and against 12's & 8's. We need your help to win this fight because in the real world money talks but if we can come up with some good points we may be able to change his mind. Thanks.
