I am a supervisor. The company seems to lean toward us going on 12 hour shifts while our crews stay on 8 hour. We usually have to work extra on three weekends of the month and sometimes during the week. How does 12 hour shifts eliminate the need to work overtime and allow more time off. It seems as if there are a set amount of hours required per year to staff and fill. How does 12 hour shift allow that?
Thanks,
