Help !! I am a police officer who is subject to rotating shifts.(one month of 3rd shift, 1 month of 2nd shift, and then 1 month of day shift). The stresses of the job are bad enough let alone the problems that come with constantly changing your shift. It is not only hard on the body but hard on those you care about. I am constantly irritable especially on 3rds. What can be done to get my wellbeing back in order considering the people who make the decision to have rotating shifts are the ones who work Mon-Fri 8am-4pm. Anyone have any advice as to what can be done to change their minds. About 80% of us want the change to permanent shifts..but to no avail. HELP!!
