Thank you for the advice!
I once read don't force yourself to sleep if you aren't tired... so last night, I woke up at midnight...and was wired until about 7 am. I had to wake up at 8am (slept in until 830am). I was exhausted all day at work, and it was a busy day too! Not a good idea I guess. The hard part is, I don't see much natural light during work, because I am stuck back in the lab without windows except for when I follow friends out for a quick smoke break. We are so busy there, that in the winter time, I hardly ever see daylight.
I have always enjoyed staying up late, which will make it even harder on me to establish a circadian rythm, I'm sure. I will definitely try, and it is good to know how to try and restart the days.
Thank You
