Sleep Apnea Treatments
Which one is best?

When the sandman began his career in sleep the only effective treatment was tracheostomy. Most people did not elect tracheostomy but would try to loose weight or end up do nothing. Today many treatments are available and the best treatment depends on the type of apnea and the individual. To list a few: Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), surgery, weight loss, modified sleeping position, some drugs in certain cases, and dental appliances.

Melatonin is being fashioned as the new wonder drug throughout the country. Melatonin has been featured in Newsweek, Time, 20/20, and is the subject of many new books. It is being paraded as the Hormone to cure sleep disturbances, halt the aging process, and a cancer deterrent, but according to Albert Milliron known researcher on Melatonin in Alaska, states that "high Melatonin is one of the underlying causes of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)." continued...
