I'm new to this board, and am glad I found it. Ya'll have answered a lot of my questions. I was a Surgical Tech., but shortly after graduating soon realized that the operating room just wasn't for me. I hate the fact that I went to school for 2 years (total) and feel that I'm throwing away my career, but there really is noo way I can go back to the O.R. So I'm just wondering since I have some medical experience can I apply for Sleep Tech. positions even when they say "must have experience."? These days it's extremely hard to talk to a manager or supervisor about a position and to try and sell yourself....around here they want your resume and will call you if thier interested or not...I even tried calling some hospitals I've applied for and couldn't get through to anyone.
Just wondering if you heard of Surgical Techs. becoming Sleep Techs., and if it gave them a step in the door.
Thanks,
Gracie
