Thanks for the information Dr. Hey. It's great to see people such as yourself post here.
Since there are two different types of accreditation by the AASM, one being "full accreditation" and the other for a "sleep related breathing disorders center" does anyone know if the criteria is the same? Specifically, I'm trying to find out if the standards for having a board-certified physician on staff are the same. Last I heard, to become accredited for a sleep related breathing disorders center, it's not required that the medical director and/or interpreting physicians have to be board certified in sleep medicine. The application I have says something about a two year limit after accreditation is awarded. Does anyone know if the AASM has changed this criteria?
