I think that this is the best posting in this thread thus far.
4 ten's may look great on paper, but there will be more staff turnover, less quality work, other things that will actually cost the sleep lab more in the end.
As we all should know, the human body does not ever get used to working night shift. Three shifts per week is much easier on the body than four night shifts per week.
If I had to do 4 ten's instead of 3 12-13's, I would find another career.
I could go on and on about this, as this issue of making tech's work four tens is another example of Sleep Labs turning into money machines where quality seems to be more and more de-emphasized. I know that many of you will disagree with this last line, but I have been doing this a long time and this is what I am seeing.
