Sleep studies not in demand?

Posted by David P. on February 18, 2002 at 19:10:20:

There's pressure being put on us from administration because the number of studies we did in 2001 compared to the year 2000 decreased slightly. Are other labs seeing a decrease too?

We feel like we continue to serve our patients and physicians in the best possible way. Our turn-around time is 3-5 days (from the date the study is performed to the date the ordering physician has the interpretation.) We have stepped up our marketing and have done or are working on doing everything possible to attract more patients. Are other labs staying swamped with orders or are you seeing a decrease too?

Thanks in advance for any and all replies.
David, RPSGT
