I think it must have a lot to do with "the market" in your area. How many sleep labs are there? To serve a population of how many?

In January at our lab, we had the highest volume of patients we have EVER had in a single month. Business just keeps growing! But we enjoy little competition (only one other lab in town) and we try to welcome new sleep specialists who would like to do consults and interpretations here.

Is there any change in referral patterns from your referring physicians? We find marketing ourselves to them works better than marketing ourselves to the general public!

Maybe try reaching out to new types of doctors... (Urologists? Did you see the article on the link between nocturia and OSA in the Feb.2002 issue of Advance for Managers of Resp. Care?) Good luck!
