Thank you to all who have responded so far. We performed three less studies in 2001 compared to 2000 (yes, I said THREE) and administration is having a fit. They expected the numbers to double.
I see many problems with our situation. First, we aren't located in or near a major city and there's three labs in this area serving a population of about 100,000 people. The PCP's aren't very interested in sleep, most of them know very little about sleeping disorders or don't think it's too important. We've tried and tried to educate them but continue to have little interest even when CME's are offered.
With all that said, we are still making money with the amount of studies we're performing. The "bean counters" are being rather impatient and I'm not sure what else we can do!
