Steve, I agree with the other posts about there being lots of opportunities in this field. Just for kicks, I sent out my resume to 10 different labs across the country and 9 of the 10 responded! It's nice to know our job is in demand and to have many choices about where to move. You should have no problem in Chicago but you might want to think twice about the rural areas.
