You know, it's easy to look back in hindsight and think well maybe I should of done this or that but to be quite honest, (and I've been running sleep studies for over 8 years now) a 16 yr old having V-tach would make me VERY nervous!
I think it's much better to call the doctor when we're in doubt rather than sit on a serious situation like this. It wasn't your decision to admit him to CCU afterall.
I think your neuro doc needs to lighten up and be glad you were paying attention. Most of the docs have no idea how difficult our job can be some nights.
You did fine!
