Something I forgot to add earlier, is to always look at the questionnaire and not just the Epworth Sleepiness scale (it is quite subjective, as you know). Our questionnaire was designed so that the same question is asked several different ways. If they are sleepy "sometimes", it helps to talk to the patient and quantify/qualify that reported sleepiness. Our physician feels that an ESS score of 7 or greater is sufficient to qualify for an MSLT if the study results also warrant it. And, good luck!
