All sleep labs/centers are testing for seizure disorders. However it may not be in the indications a proper PSG will screen for EEG changes to include seizure activity. We do not "test" for cadiac problems either, but if a pt has an undiagnosed arrhythmia, it is our job and duty to catch it. Many pts will have multiple medical problems that may not be the reason they were refered to us. However we have an obligation to screen for all possible problems and refer our pts to appropriate specialist.
